Camping and fishing report: 2004

This year we have had some really enjoyable pleasure fishing, without exception we have had as great a bunch of anglers come out to stay as I could wish to meet. Lots of fish foa everyone and some great barbeques at night.

A few days were very hot and by mutual agreement we called it a day on these days and departed for a local bar with air conditioning for some cold drinks. Returning when the temperatures had dropped to a more acceptable level.

Later in the season I acquired a new Zodiac inflatable which we use to bait the long range swims and to fish for Black Bass, which a number of our visitors found to be great fun and pleasant diversion from the usual carp trips.

For the 2005 season I will be taking the boat and fish finder to explore a different dam that has the advantage of being stocked with barbell as well as the usual carp and bass. 

I can wait, with the fishing generally so good, there is plenty to occupy the time until they mature into monsters!
