The hotel:
Situated in the old town of Silves, the Colina Dos Mouros Hotel has recently been extensively refurbished and is now a real home from home. Surrounded by attractive gardens and with superb views of the town’s Castle and cathedral, the friendly management at this excellent hotel will ensure that your stay in the Algarve is a memorable one.

Located on the outskirts of Silves next to the Arade river, just a few minutes walk from the town centre with its historic sites like the old sandstone Castle and Cathedral, as well as its many bars and restaurants.

The hotel has 52 bedrooms all equipped with air conditioning, 24 hour reception, 2 bars, satellite TV, telephone, hair dryer and a safe for storage of personal property. In addition there are 2 bars , restaurant and swimming pool with pool bar and snack service, all designed to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.

Transport:
We take care of all your needs from meeting you at the airport (Faro), taking you fishing every day then take you back to the airport at the end of your stay.

The fishing:

Sea: We use 3 different boats, depending on the numbers and type of fishing you require. The Portuguese rules regarding the use of boats at sea a very strict and rigidly enforced by the police who often board boats at sea to ensure that these rules are being adhered to with regard to safety equipment and that the skipper has a licence and his boat has been subject to its annual safety condition inspections and that he has valid insurance cover. This ensures your safety when boat fishing here in the Algarve!

Coarse: This will provide the opportunity to fish for carp in one or more of the many well stocked dams that can be found in this part of the Algarve, details covering this type of fishing can be found in the various holiday packages we offer.

Terms:
A 20% deposit is required with your booking. (for freshwater fishing, please remember to include photocopies of passports for all anglers of 14 years or older so that we can obtain your fishing permits before you arrive.

The balance of the cost of the holiday is then payable 8 weeks before your arrival.

Prices:

These are based on two sharing a double room, single room supplements start at an additional £50.00 rising to £120.00 per week in High Season.

Additionally prices reflect the time of year, number of anglers fishing and whether the fishing is sea or fresh water fishing.

Please note that boat fishing is on a ‘weather permitting’ basis but we can fish 19 days in 20 and have some excellent shore fishing available should the weather be too rough for taking you out in one of our charter boats.

Price guide:

3 day break starts at £150.00 each in Low Season, rising to £250.00 each in High Season.

7 day break starts at £225.00 each in Low season, rising to £500.00 each in High Season.

HIGH SEASON -- runs from 1st May to 30th September.
LOW SEASON -- runs from 1st October to 31st April
